This is the first and a pivotal step towards encouraging aspiring racers and offering them a platform to outperform others and cement motorsports in the kingdom.

The sponsorship will be reflected across some of the key motorsport events that Saudi Arabia is known for and will be held under the Toyota banner.

The Saudi Toyota Championship is organized in cooperation between the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and Abdul Latif Jameel Motors.

Saudi Toyota championships include Hill-climbing championship, which will be held in 3 rounds, the Rally in 4 rounds, Racing Drag, which consists of 3 rounds, Time Attack, which takes place in 3 stages, Autocross races in 3 stages, and the Drifting championship, which includes 3 rounds.

The support for SAMF and empowerment of local competitors is also in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. By setting an example, we are encouraging active involvement of the private sector in local events with the potential to become globally recognized.

Desert rallies are a type of motorsport that take place in the harsh and unforgiving terrain of the world's deserts. These rallies involve racing across vast stretches of desert, with competitors facing extreme temperatures, unpredictable weather conditions, and treacherous terrain.

The vehicles used in desert rallies are specially designed to withstand the rigors of the terrain, with powerful engines, reinforced suspension, and oversized tires. Hill climb races are a type of motorsport event where competitors race against the clock to complete a course that ascends a steep hill or mountain.

Generally, the course for a hill climb race is a narrow, winding road with numerous twists and turns, and the surface may be unpaved or partially paved.

The goal is for drivers to complete the course in the shortest possible time, with the winner being the driver with the fastest time. Unlike traditional circuit races, where drivers compete against each other in wheel-to-wheel racing, time attack racing is a test of individual skill and precision. Drivers compete against the clock to set the fastest lap time possible, with the winner being the driver who completes the course in the shortest possible time.

Time attack races often have strict rules and regulations that limit modifications to the vehicles, which helps to level the playing field and place a greater emphasis on driver skill. As such, time attack racing is a true test of a driver's ability to extract the maximum performance from their vehicle while maintaining control and consistency throughout the lap. 

Autocross is a popular form of motorsport that involves racing against the clock on a closed course that is typically laid out in a large parking lot.

The courses are designed to be tight and technical, with numerous cones and turns that require precise car control and quick reflexes. Unlike other forms of motorsport, autocross races are typically run one car at a time, with drivers taking turns to complete the course as quickly as possible. The winner is the driver who completes the course in the shortest amount of time, with penalties added for touching or knocking over cones. 

Drifting is a unique form of motorsport that is all about car control and style. In a drift race, drivers intentionally oversteer their cars, causing the rear wheels to lose traction and slide sideways through corners. Unlike other forms of motorsport, drift races are not necessarily about speed, but rather about the art of sliding the car through a course with precision and grace.

Drivers are judged on their speed, angle, and line through the course, with points awarded for style and flair. Drift racing requires a high level of skill and control, as drivers must be able to maintain a slide through a corner while still maintaining control of the car. 

Drag racing is a type of motorsport that involves two vehicles accelerating from a standing start to a finish line over a straight, typically quarter-mile-long track.

The objective is to cover the distance in the shortest possible time, with the winner being determined by the time taken to complete the race. Drag racing is an extremely popular form of motorsport, with events held all over the world and a dedicated fan base.

It requires skill, precision, and a well-tuned vehicle, as even small variations in performance can make a significant difference in the outcome of the race. The sport has evolved over the years, with advances in technology leading to faster and more powerful cars, making drag racing a thrilling and exciting spectacle to watch.
